Yes, as long as the appropriate guidelines are followed.

8. Do I have to be married?

No, we have many single foster parents.

9. Where do the children come from?

We contract with Riverside and San Bernardino counties to take children into   foster care. This keeps transportation for doctor appointments, court dates, and natural   parent visitations mostly local versus having to transport to L.A. County.

10. What if I or a spouse have a criminal record?

There are some cases we can work with through the Department of Justice. A special procedure will need to be followed in order to request an exemption from them. You will need to supply information about the incident and who was involved and the outcome of the case along with several references who can vouch for your current status and character. Some cases will prevent you from qualifying. We can discuss in private any other questions or situations you have concerns about.
